Privacy and Information Sharing Rules

Protection of Information:
- KANE will not share any contact or personal information of members or participants with other members, non-members, third parties, or any external agencies unless required by law.
- Personal information provided during registration will only be used to send event-related updates or invitations to future KANE events. It will not be used for any other purpose.

Confidentiality:
- Participants and their teams agree not to share, disclose, or forward any information exchanged with KANE (via phone, email, or other means) to external parties without prior consent.
- Violation of this rule may result in immediate cancellation of admission or membership.

Data Security and Privacy:
- All personal data collected during registration will be securely stored and handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
- Participants may request the deletion of their personal data after the event by contacting the KANE Committee.
General Rules

Accuracy of Information:
- All information provided in the registration form must be accurate and truthful to the best of the participants' knowledge.
- Any errors, omissions, or falsified information may result in the cancellation of registration, tickets, or admission without refund.

Registration Confirmation:
- Registration is considered complete only when the KANE Committee has reviewed the submitted information, confirmed payment, and provided acknowledgment. At least one player on a team must be a KANE Member (Premium or Regular) for the current year.
- Registrations will be placed on a waiting list until payment is successfully processed.

Fee Policy:
- The registration or admission fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
- If the event is canceled due to unforeseen issues caused by the organizers, the registration fee will be refunded.
- No refunds will be issued once the event has been completed.

Event Cancellations:
- In the unlikely event of a cancellation due to circumstances beyond the organizers’ control (e.g., natural disasters, emergencies), registered participants will be notified, and refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis as per the policy above.

Liability and Indemnification:
- By registering, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the KANE Committee and KANE from any claims, losses, injuries, or damages arising out of participation in the tournament or any associated activities.

Code of Conduct:
- Participants and their teams must adhere to the highest standards of sportsmanship and fair play.
- Any behavior deemed abusive, discriminatory, or unsportsmanlike will result in disqualification and potential banning from future events.

Communication and Updates:
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they receive and review event updates or notifications sent via the contact information provided during registration.
- KANE is not liable for missed communications due to outdated or incorrect contact information.

Photographs and Recordings:
- By participating in the event, participants grant KANE the right to photograph, film, or record them during the event. These materials may be used for promotional purposes.

Venue Rules:
- Participants must comply with all venue rules and regulations, including maintaining the cleanliness and integrity of the facilities.
- Any damages caused by a participant will be their responsibility.

Attire and Equipment:
- Proper badminton attire (including non-marking shoes) is mandatory.
- Players must bring their own rackets. Shuttlecocks will be provided by the organizers.

Health and Safety:
- Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the event.
- First aid will be available on-site, but participants must ensure they have adequate health insurance coverage.
- Any injuries or health concerns must be reported to the organizers immediately.

Organizer Rights:
- The KANE Committee reserves the right to amend these rules or disqualify participants in the event of rule violations or unforeseen circumstances.
Match Rules

Format:
- Matches will follow a knockout format unless otherwise specified.
- Each match will be played in the best of three games format. The first team to score 21 points wins a game, with a two-point advantage required. If the score reaches 29-29, the first team to score 30 points wins.
- Teams will switch sides after each game.

Scoring:
- Rally scoring system applies (points can be scored on every serve, regardless of which team serves).
- A team must win two games to advance to the next round.

Service Rules:
- Service must be made diagonally, within the service court boundaries.
- The server must hit the shuttle below the waist and ensure that both feet remain stationary until the shuttle is struck.

Disputes:
- A referee will oversee each match. Their decisions will be final in case of any disputes.

Substitutions:
- Substitutions are not allowed once the tournament begins. In case of injury, the affected team must forfeit the match.

Time Limits:
- A maximum warm-up time of 5 minutes is allowed before the match.
- Each team is allowed a 1-minute interval at 11 points in each game and a 2-minute break between games.

Conduct:
- Players must exhibit sportsmanship at all times. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including abusive language or intentional delays, may result in disqualification.
Risk Management

Liability Waiver:
- All participants must sign a liability waiver during registration, releasing the organizers and venue from responsibility for injuries or damages during the event.

Injury Protocol:
- First aid will be available on-site. For severe injuries, participants will be referred to the nearest medical facility at their own expense.
- Players must immediately inform the referee of any injury during a match.

Insurance:
- Participants are advised to have their own health insurance coverage.

Weather or Emergency Cancellations:
- In case of unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, emergencies), the organizers reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the tournament. Registered participants will be informed promptly.
Legal Considerations

Code of Conduct:
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, or physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the tournament.
- The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team found violating the rules.

Data Privacy:
- Participant data collected during registration will only be used for the tournament and not shared with third parties.

Photographs and Recordings:
- By participating, players consent to being photographed or recorded during matches. The organizers may use these for promotional purposes.

Disputes and Appeals:
- Any disputes must be raised to the referee immediately. Appeals can be escalated to the tournament committee, whose decision is final.

Alcohol and Substance Use:
- Players under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances will not be allowed to participate.

Equipment Damage:
- Participants are responsible for any damage they cause to the venue or equipment.
Other Guidelines

Spectators:
- Spectators are welcome but must remain in designated areas and not interfere with matches.

Trophy and Prizes:
- Winners and runners-up of each category will receive trophies and/or prizes.
