കേരള അസോസിയേഷൻ ഓഫ് ന്യൂ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ട് പുതിയ ഭാരവാഹികളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

Boston: Kerala Association of New England(KANE- www.kaneusa.org), which is one of the oldest Kerala association in the United States, announced its new Board of Directors for the year 2018-2019. Mrs. Elsie Marangoly (President), Mr. Jollson Varghese (Vice President), Mr. Saresh Alambath(Secretary), Mrs. Revathy Pillai(Joint Secretary), Mr. Suresh Abraham(Treasurer) and Mrs. Smitha Paul(Arts Club Secretary). KANE's election officer Mr. Rajendraprasad Sivadasan announced the name of new elected officials during the KANE's 49th annual general body meeting on September 22, 2018.

To promote and to nurture the unique values of Kerala heritage and culture, a group of visionary leaders sowed the seed for an organization for New England Malayalees (a region in the northeastern corner of the United States consisting of the six states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut) back in 1970. Since its founding in 1970, KANE strive to nurture cultural and social values by empowering its members and Malayalees around New England area through its community service. And that is our Mission, which we accomplish by:

  • Creating opportunities for its community members to share ideas and to exercise their traditional values.
  • Providing best of the class platforms and leadership to help its community members exhibit their talents.
  • Developing leaders through volunteerism and community service.
  • Building bridges of understanding across generations and diverse communities; and
  • Influencing the future generations to understand our tradition and its moral values to build a better society, a home away from home.

Currently the association boasts of over 500 member families and this number is growing. Kerala Association of New England organizes several events every year to bring people and families closer and to provide platforms for talents to showcase. KANE also brings Malayalam Movies and  Star Shows with leading Malayalam and South Indian movie stars and artists performing live on stage.  Please check our Upcoming Events page. Apart from these events, KANE also delivers monthly newsletter to more than 2000 people(If you would like to advertise in our newsletters, see packages here). Using KANE's online chat service, we answers uestions from our communities and helps connecting people to services. During its Christmas celebration, KANE distributes New Year Calendar, and  an annual member directory with name, address and details of all its members.

KANE's 49th President Mrs. Elsie Marangoly expressed her gratitude to KANE's last year President Mr. Joseph Kunnel and his committee. She also thanked the people of New England for their support and participation in KANE events. Mrs. Elsie requested continued support of New England people to make KANE's upcoming events a big success. You can find all new Upcoming Events of KANE- click here
